When you first capture a glimpse of Pine Lakes Country Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, you already know exactly why it's miles nicknamed "The Granddaddy"; the Clubhouse radiates with southern attraction beckoning you place a spell and the course, with its properly-manicured fairways, invites you to grab your sticks and play golf.

The Clubhouse was an upscale inn, and is resplendent with extraordinary chandeliers and massive fashionable accumulating rooms with fireplaces - you could almost picture this whole layout as a scene in Gone With the Wind!

Pine Lakes opened in 1927, so there's an abundance of history and subculture within the Clubhouse and at the golf route. The first President of the PGA, Robert White, was the preliminary path architect and, through the years, although there have been modifications made to the route and to the unique building, the background of the Granddaddy lives on in Myrtle Beach.
